Terms & Conditions at Yuma's Riverfront Lodge LTD.

Hotel Booking Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all guests booking directly with Yuma's Riverfront Lodge LTD.

 

Rates

The rates quoted are based on your period of stay. Therefore, rates are subject to change due to changes in your arrival and/or departure dates. Rates cited are in United States Dollars (US) + 9% Hotel Tax.

 

Extra Person Rate

Extra Person Rate applies when staying in the same suite with a minimum of two guests (subject to maximum suite occupancy).

 

Deposits

To complete your reservation, 7 days prior to your arrival, we require a 50% deposit + 9% Hotel Tax of the total amount for your stay at Yuma's Riverfront Lodge. Your balance is due on the Check-in date.

 

Amendments or Cancellation/No Show Policy 

Guest must request any changes or cancellations in writing by email to contact@yumasriverfrontlodge.com.  The email must clearly state the booking date, name, and booking number. The reservation agent will make every effort to accommodate any requests for changes, but the final decision will be made by management.


The Following Cancellation Fees will apply

To make your travel experience as worry-free as possible, we are operating with a pliant cancellation policy.

 

Cancellations made 30 days + before arrival will not be charged.

Cancellations made 29 days to 8 days: 5% of the total amount of your stay will be charged as an administration fee.

Any qualifying refunds will receive a credit to the credit card used for the initial payment.

No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days or less prior to the check in date.

 

To safeguard against unforeseen circumstances, which might cause cancellation or delay of a reservation within the non-refundable period Yuma’s Riverfront Lodge strongly suggests the purchase of travel insurance: www.insuremytrip.com

 

No Show - If cancellation is made on the check-in day / during your stay / no show - 100% of the total reservation amount will be forfeited.

*Credit Cards are charged in BZD dollars

*Charges made to your credit card may be subject to your credit card company’s foreign transaction bank charges

 

The above Amendments or Cancellation/No Show Policy apply to 3rd party services as well. We encourage guests to take out Travel and Medical Insurance to cover against cancellation or date changes due to unforeseen events, circumstances, or accidents, as we are unable to refund the payments for any reason for cancellations or changes within the stipulated cancellation periods.

 

Hotel Guidelines

Check-in time is from 3 pm to 8 pm. Check-out time is 11 am.

If the check-out time is different from the times above, additional fees may apply. This fee will vary depending on the additional time required and needs to be confirmed at the time of booking.
 

All indoor areas, including Cabanas of Yuma's Riverfront Lodge, are strictly non-smoking. However, smoking is permitted in outdoor areas of the Cabana and the Lodge. Ashtrays are provided for guest use upon request.

 

Damages

If any damage occurs to the cabana due to the guest's actions, intentional or not, then we ask you to report it to the general manager so that we can repair the damage as soon as possible and we reserve the right to add the cost of replacing or repairing items to the guest's bill at check out. For the avoidance of doubt damage includes, but is not limited to, permanent stains, cigarette burns, rips, scratches or other damage to furniture and soft furnishings.

 

Pets may not be brought onto the premises except for guide dogs. 


Drugs & hazardous materials
All guests and members of their entourage are not allowed to use or bring illegal substances, flammable liquids or other explosives or items deemed dangerous to life, limbs or property.

 

Guests shall comply with all rules, regulations, and instructions at Yuma's Riverfront Lodge, including but not limited to security procedures, health and safety procedures, and registration requirements.

Yuma's Riverfront Lodge shall be entitled to refuse a guest entry or accommodation or require a guest to leave the premises if unreasonable behaviour is displayed, be it threatening or abusive, causing disturbance to other guests, or otherwise unacceptable. 

 

Limitation of Liability

A safe is available in each Cabana to store valuables as a service to guests; however, Yuma's Riverfront Lodge will not accept liability for loss or damage to those items. 

Please note that we are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal equipment and property during your stay at Yuma’s Riverfront Lodge or during your participation in any activities during your visit to Belize.

 

We will not be responsible for any delays, additional costs or inconveniences that may be caused directly or indirectly by events beyond our control such as delays in arrival of international flights, civil disturbances, fires, floods, unusually bad weather, God's destiny, Government actions, or failure of any machine or equipment.
 

Yuma's Riverfront Lodge may engage appropriate transfer operators and other providers to coordinate and provide specific services. The transfer operators and other providers are solely responsible for and liable for providing their respective services. Guests are also subject to terms and conditions imposed by other providers.

 

Property Disclaimer

Yuma's Riverfront Lodge is set in a natural environment containing fauna and flora that may be dangerous if in close contact. 

Therefore, while the staff and management make every effort of Yuma's Riverfront Lodge to ensure the safety of its guests, guests acknowledge at the time of making their bookings that neither Yuma's Riverfront Lodge nor any of its staff shall be liable for the death or injury of any of its guests or any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever suffered by any of its guests arising out of or in connection with use of the facilities and activities offered by Yuma's Riverfront Lodge, in particular (but not limited to) these involving wildlife, and the guest, by making a booking, releases Yuma's Riverfront Lodge and its staff from all or any such liability.

 

Nature is our host, and we feel privileged to be invited as a guest. Please treat all native wildlife with respect. Should you need our assistance to remove a visitor from your cabana, please see us and we will be happy to do so. Failure to report a problem cannot be considered a reason by the guest to claim compensation.
 

Swimming in the Belize River

Yuma's Riverfront Lodge is set along the Belize River. You might choose to swim in the river during the length of your visit at Yuma's Riverfront Lodge. By swimming in the river, you fully understand:

At no time is there a lifeguard on duty. You are responsible for your safety if swimming in the river.

Which involves certain risks, including but not limited to:

The risk of injury/drowning resulting from strong river current

The risk of injuries/drowning resulting from tripping or falling over natural obstacles in the river

The risk of injuries resulting from participating in any action in the river.

You recognize and fully understand that the above list is not a complete or exhaustive list of all possible risks; the list only provides examples of the types of risks that you are engaging with.

Lost Property

Where items belonging to guests have been found by a member of Yuma's Riverfront Lodge personnel and the owner can be identified and contacted, such items will be returned by registered mail. 

 

If the owner of any found item cannot be identified, it will be logged and held in security for three months. If, after this period, the owner of the lost article has not contacted the property or has otherwise been identified, the article will be disposed of. If the lost article may be of tangible benefit, the lost article will be given to a local charity organization after the three months have elapsed.

 

Force Majeure

Yuma’s Riverfront Lodge is not responsible for booking cancellations and shortened stays due to force majeure/acts of God or conditions beyond the lodge's control, including floods, earthquakes, explosions, fires, civil disobedience, war, epidemics/pandemics, laws not effective as of the date of this agreement, labour dispute or third-party suspension. In addition, Yuma’s Riverfront Lodge will not be liable for any failure to perform its arrangements and other obligations under the same circumstances. In such cases, Yuma’s Riverfront Lodge must be given a reasonable extension of time to perform obligations or arrangements.
Rescheduling (rebooking) or other arrangements may, at Yuma’s Riverfront Lodge sole discretion, be considered without a rebooking fee, but subject to availability and within one year from the time of original arrival. Rates at the time of booking will apply, but if the schedule is to be changed from a slow season to a high season, the price difference will be collected.

 

Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are covered in all respects by Belizean Law and any legal action arising under the contract will only be brought to the appropriate Court having jurisdiction in that country. We will not be liable, whether under a tort or contract, for any damage or loss suffered or incurred by visitors, including direct, consequential, incidental, special or indirect damages, arising out of or resulting directly or indirectly from : International flight delays, any government restrictions, war strikes, industrial actions, riots, natural disasters, or any other event or circumstance beyond our control.
